The Spherical Scanner
- Roll-over-Azimuth Spherical Scanner
- Rotates the AUT (Antenna-Under-Test) over two axes of rotation
- Probe transmits from static probe tower
- Probe can be rotated to measure two orthogonal polarisations
- Equivalent to move the probe over a spherical surface surrounding the AUT
- Absolute position feedback from synchros - no stepper motors
- Probe tower can either stand on a sliding platform in the Near-Field or on a Far-Field platform
- Aligned to high precision with laser tracker

- Currently operates from 2 to 40 GHz
- 100 dB dynamic range
- 10000 complex measurements/sec
- Fully automated
The Anechoic Chamber
- Anechoic shielded room, delivered by Global EMC
- Size: 5.9m x 4.2m x 2.8m

- Shielding tested up to 39.5 GHz by EMC Hire according to MIL STD 285 procedures
- Fibre-optic data links to control room
- Easy access to mounted antenna via clever pathway layout
- Connectors for DC power and data available on AUT mounting plate
